Can I say something to you athlete-to-athlete?
If you are still stepping on a regular bathroom scale and letting that number define your body changes … we need to have a talk.
That number?
It means nothing. And I don’t say that lightly.
Look at everything that you do as an athlete:
You train hard.
You lift.
You run.
You sweat.
You build muscle.
You store glycogen.
You hold water after hard sessions.
And then you step on a piece of plastic that gives you ONE number and think it tells the whole story?
It doesn’t.
The Regular Scale Is Lazy Data
A basic scale tells you:
Total body weight.
That’s it.
It does not tell you:

How much muscle you gained
-
Whether you dropped body fat
- What your bone mass is

If you’re holding water from a tough training block

If you’re glycogen loaded
-
If inflammation is up
-
If you’re under-fueled
It just spits out a number and walks away.
